The Peoples Palace Project is a resource enabling community groups to make and show films/performances from beginning to end. We have a team of workshop facilitators who are experienced in Theatrical, Expressive and New Media Arts.
We devise and facilitate bespoke series of multi-disciplinary Arts workshops that culminate in unique, community-generated Arts Events. Workshops include drama, characterisation, plot-devising and storyboard making, set, costume and prop making, maskwork, puppetry , animation and film-making.
Projects are suitable for use with Schools, Youth Groups, in Therapeutic Education, or with any marginalized Community Group. Projects teach new skills and offer a powerful process of self-development within a supportive environment; to encourage a sense of confidence, citizenship and self-determination in participants.
Incorporating workshops in drama, costume, mask, set design, dance, film-making and animation, the Peoples Palace runs projects that culminate in public Arts Events, such as 'Tam O'Shanter' with Auchencairn Primary School; 'Bogmania' for Cairnsmoor of Fleet Scottish Natural Heritage; 'Goose' for Caerlaverock Scottish Natural Heritage; 'Love on the High Seas' for Teen Screen at the Discovery Festival at Dundee Contemporary Arts.
